What a treat to be Zeffirelli's faithful and devoted friend, even for a moment. He was a great genious, even more for opera and theratre than for film. It was a great privilege.
Were there some people there who DIDNT want the book or who didn't want him to sign it?? Do you know what he wrote in the other dedications? I know you wouldn't sell it, but that book would be worth some CASH
Amazing story!! True and devoted friend to Zeffirelli gives you some serious Italian cred. I remember seeing his "Aida" at the Arena di Verona-- kind of a perfect setting for his over the top designs. The apartment looks exactly like I would have thought!
A perfect dedication!
A beautiful essay.

I am speechless! And I feel now as if I have been part of the story too! You are a lucky man Eric!

Wow, you were Franco Zeffirelli's "amico fedelissimo e devoto" ... so cool!
"amico fedelissimo e devoto" - quite a compliment to you, Eric!
